Portland Roots Festival | 12:00pm - 8:00pm
Portland Roots Festival is PCRI’s first culturally specific food festival. They will be promoting healthy living through healthy food choices and activities by tapping into the rich and ancient sustainable food practices of the African people. Highlight's will include the different yet similar avenues these ancient practices have and continue to take through the celebration of food practices of African-American, Afro-Caribbean, Afro- Latin, and African Diaspora populations of Portland, Oregon.

Dodgeball | 7:00pm - 10:00pm
The more you move, the better it gets. This year Nike has partnered with MusicfestNW to host four amazing performances and we want you to come and watch for free. The Standard Volunteer Expo

The Standard supports many local and regional non-profit organizations! At the Standard Volunteer Expo, the Portland community has the opportunity to learn about them all. The Expo fills the Square with more than 100 non-profits that serve Portland and the surrounding areas so that community members can learn about these organizations, sign up to volunteer with the organization of their choice, and help make adifference in the Portland-area!

El Grito/ Fiestas Patrias | 11:00am - 11:00pm
Celebrate Central American and Mexican Independence at El Grito! The celebration will feature authentic Latino food, Artisan Artwork, live dancing, musical acts open to the entire family. This family friendly event is a fiesta for all!

Gay Fair on the Square | 12:30pm - 5:00pm
Portland's Living Room will be transformed into an outdoor outreach center, a place to gather as a community, share passions, and showcase talents. Included in the Fair will be athletic teams, gay youth groups, art communities, HIV support groups, and various LGBT business, social and networking groups. We encourage those new to Portland, those recently out, considering coming out, or simply wanting to spread their wings, to join us in the Square to see the wonderful things the LGBT community has to offer.

The 40,000-square-foot, award-wining public space will feature wineries, breweries, cheese makers, coffee roasters, distillers, and many of the featured regional artisans that landed Oregon's exciting and energetic food community on the map. AIDS Walk Portland 2013 | 9:00am - 2:00pm
AIDS Walk Portland 2013 is the state’s 2nd largest walk, attracting 11,000 people in 2012. Funds raised go to support Cascade AIDS Project’s mission of preventing new HIV infections, caring for and empowering people living with HIV/AIDS, and eliminating HIV/AIDS-related stigma. Registration and entertainment begin at 9:00AM, the walk starts at 11:00AM and ends around 1:30. Prizes, food and friends are all available to those who register and walk. Click here and sign up!

Join the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB) and other local Indian organizations for their 8th Annual “American Indian Day Celebration”. The event will include Northwest Tribal leaders, Indian advocates, drum groups, dancers, and arts and crafts vendors who will share their talents and experiences with the Portland community. Tribal organizations will set-up booths displaying health, education, youth and other programs they provide on behalf of Northwest Tribes and the Portland Indian community.
