The Standard supports many local and regional non-profit organizations!At the Standard Volunteer Expo, the Portland community has the opportunity to learn about them all. The Expo fills the Square with morethan 100 non-profits that serve Portland and the surrounding areas sothat community members can learn about these organizations, sign up tovolunteer with the organization of their choice, and help make adifference in the Portland-area!

El Grito/ Fiestas Patrias | 11:00am - 11:00pm
Celebrate Central American and Mexican Independence at ElGrito! The celebration will feature authentic Latino food, Artisan Artwork, live dancing, musical acts open to the entire family. This familyfriendly event is a fiesta for all!

Gay Fair on the Square | 12:30pm - 5:00pm
Portland's Living Room will be transformed into an outdooroutreach center, a place to gather as a community, share passions, andshowcase talents. Included in the Fair will be athletic teams, gay youthgroups, art communities, HIV support groups, and various LGBT business,social and networking groups. We encourage those new to Portland, thoserecently out, considering coming out, or simply wanting to spread theirwings to join us in the Square to see the wonderful things the LGBTcommunity has to offer.

Feast Portland Food and Drink Festival | 2:00pm - 5:00pm

The40,000-square-foot, award-wining public space will feature wineries, breweries, cheese makers, coffee roasters, distillers, and many of thefeatured regional artisans that landed Oregon's exciting and energeticfood community on the map. Experience the local scene; meet the chefsand the winemakers you've read about, watch cooking demonstrations fromcelebrated local and national chefs, and head to the OregonStoryteller's Circle to listen to the stories of the people who pavedthe way. AIDS Walk Portland 2013 | 9:00am - 2:00pm
AIDS Walk Portland 2013 is the state’s 2nd largest walk, attracting 11,000 people in 2012. Funds raised go to support Cascade AIDS Project’s mission of preventing new HIV infections, caring for and empowering people living with HIV/AIDS, and eliminating HIV/AIDS-related stigma. Registration and entertainment begin at 9:00AM, the walk starts at 11:00AM and ends around 1:30. Prizes, food and friends are all available to those who register and walk. Click here and sign up!

Shine a Light on Addiction and Recovery | 7:30pm - 8:30pm
An event open to the public featuring a vigil with glo-sticks, speakers and music. Informational brochures and flyers will be available for people to take to learn more about addiction treatment, recovery and related programs and services.

8th Annual American Indian Day Celebration | 12:00pm - 7:00pm
Join the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB) and other local Indian organizations for their 8th Annual “American Indian Day Celebration”. The event will include Northwest Tribal leaders, Indian advocates, drum groups, dancers, and arts and crafts vendors who will share their talents and experiences with the Portland community. Tribal organizations will set-up booths displaying health, education, youth and other programs they provide on behalf of Northwest Tribes and the Portland Indian community.
