Efflorescence: The dome, acting as an enormous seed in the square, will house a mesmerizing and meditative video experience drawing upon botanical phenomena and responsive to the presence of visitors.

Let Us Cultivate Our Garden: Externally, the seed blossoms into a massive floral sculpture through a web-based augmented reality layer encouraging and incorporating interaction with visitors and their mobile devices.

The Welcome Dome is made possible through a collaboration between the City of Portland Recovery & Events Action Table and Pioneer Courthouse Square.
