DESCRIPTION:DJ Anjali and The Incredible Kid are excited to host four weekly dance classes in the Square! The Kid will warm things up with a DJ set\, then Anjali will teach several South Asian styles of dance. From the high energy Panjabi folk forms of Bhangra and Giddha to the classical inspired Filmi Mujra of Bollywood\, Anjali will keeps things moving for dancers of all levels. The last day of class will culminate in a dance party featuring Anjali’s Gulabi Gang dancers and dholi Adam McCollom from Seattle. As part of this effort\, we’re issuing five thousand $50 gift card credits\, that can be spent at 100 downtown restaurant and retail businesses participating in our small business support initiative called Downtown Workers Are Here for Portland. We will issue about 500 $50 credits on the days we’re available at Pioneer square. To qualify\, just confirm that you work one or more days per week downtown.
