Known as The French Troubadour\, Parisian-born Eric John Kaiser is a singer-songwriter reimagining French music through an Americana lens. Eric was born in the southern outskirts of Paris\, in small town called Verrières-le Buisson\, and began learning guitar when he was 10 years old. After years of a classical music education\, he found a teacher that opened him up to the music of the Beatles and Rolling Stones. He began writing songs in his adolescence\, using music as both a diary to channel his experiences and as his personal legacy. After performing over 350 concerts in France\, Eric John Kaiser fell in love with a girl\, a romance which would bring him to Portland\, Oregon where he is currently based. This concert is one of the largest in the country with tuba participants travelling throughout the region to play in this festive performance to a crowd of thousands.  Attending this seasonal performance is FREE for the public. \nRegistration to perform in Tuba Christmas is online only. DESCRIPTION:Pioneer Courthouse Square is excited to host the Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition – a fun\, festive\, and joyful competition that will bring caroling groups to Portland’s Living Room and extend to a ten-block radius in downtown. The top three caroling groups will hold a “carol-off” at the Square hosted by KGW’s Drew Carney and the grand prize winner will be selected by crowd applause and awarded $1\,000. Second and third place prizes\, as well as the coveted People’s Choice designation\, will also be awarded.
