Noon Tunes Summer Concert Series presented by 101.9 KINK

Friends Friends will be performing at Noon Tunes over the lunch hour!

Bringing a Midwest sensibility to the perennial Portland DIY music scene, Mack John, with the help of Nate Anderson, Matt Rossi, Pat Tabrum, and Jenna Leigh, formed Friends Friends in 2023.

Inspired by artists such as Dr. Dog, Courtney Barnett, and The Beths, Friends Friends indulges in the comfortable aura of a joy-filled performance that sways from delicately layered tracks with five-part harmonies into grittier psych and noisy rock n roll.

Their debut EP, “Nobody’s Sorry,” dropped in 2024 and was recorded at Hallowed Halls (who tracked the likes of Sleater Kinney, Vance Joy, Daughter, and Fall Out Boy).

Friends Friends surprises with a charming & uplifting sound; a band that sounds like the end of daylight savings time or flowers blooming in a basement.

The Noon Tunes Summer Concert Series returns for its 33rd year and expands to Tuesdays and Thursdays June 3 – July 31! From Noon-1:00pm enjoy music from some of Portland’s best regional and local musical talent. With 17 FREE concerts, dancing, painting at Art in The Park and some of Portland’s favorite food vendors at Carts on the Square, The Square is sure to be Downtown’s summer lunchtime destination.
